Huquqyat co-founder and board member Leila Sibai participated in a panel discussion entitled “Eleven Years Later: The Road to Accountability in Syria,” organized by the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy together with Moaz Moustafa (Syrian Emergency Task Force), Kholoud Helmi (Enab Baladi), and Fritz Streiff (Branch 251). The event discussed accountability pathways in Syria and exchanged ideas on how to hold the Assad regime and other perpetrators accountable for their crimes, and also examined the role of the international community in supporting Syrians’ demands for justice.
