1- to receive and review your membership application to Huquqyat network
2- to assess whether you meet our membership criteria
3- to contact you about your application

6- to administer membership where an application is successful.
We will not use your application data for email marketing or general promotional communications unless you have expressly agreed to that.
Our lawful basis for using your personal data
Our lawful basis for processing your personal data for membership application purposes is usually legitimate interests, namely our legitimate interest in operating and administering our networking organisation, assessing applications, and communicating with applicants in a fair and efficient way.
In some cases, where the application process is part of taking steps at your request before entering into a membership arrangement, our lawful basis may also be contract.
Where we ask whether you would like to receive general updates by email, the lawful basis will be consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
How long we keep your personal data

1- If your application is unsuccessful, we will normally keep your application data for 12 months after the decision, unless we need to keep it longer for legal or regulatory reasons.
2- If your application is successful, we will keep relevant information as part of your membership record for as long as your membership continues and for a reasonable period afterwards in line with our retention policy.
Who we share your personal data with
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your information only where necessary with:
1- staff, committee members or decision-makers involved in assessing applications;
2- service providers who help us operate the website, email systems or data storage;
3- professional advisers where necessary;
4- public authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Huquqyat stores and processes personal data within the United Kingdom or in countries that provide an adequate level of data protection.
