Huquqyat member Iman Ahmad participated in a discussion session held in Damascus on 17 November 2025, which aimed to establish a methodological framework for dialogue with transitional justice experts regarding the issues raised by Syrian civil society during field sessions.
man Ahmad’s participation focused on presenting practical proposals for designing a Syrian transitional justice model based on participation, non-discrimination, effective representation of victims, and guarantees of non-recurrence. The session addressed the themes of accountability and criminal justice, truth-seeking and the file of the missing, reparations and redress, and institutional reform, in a way that ensures the adoption of a comprehensive justice process responsive to the needs of victims and the Syrian context.
